In every living being resides the divine and the natural balance, butunfortunately the social setting and the hectic pace of today there often do forget. Thank you to dance you can reconnect with life energy in us that allows us to rediscover the natural sweetness, love, healthy and strength of mind, freeing us from cages and stiffness. Dance as a joy that is inside the body, as a thank you for this journey called life as a prayer that shakes meat, bones and spirit.

The feet are the roots that derive nourishment from the ground, the arms are the branches that stretch to the sky in search of answers to this mystery that unites us all, the hands are the leaves that receive the sun and the wind caress. In between is the body, our body, our essence, our being human, they settle where the experiences above and below the skin and lead to what we are.

The dances of the Gypsies of the world, from the Andalusian Flamenco to Roma dances from Balkans, from Russian Tzigane ballads to those of Rajasthan, through the Middle East and North Africa, are the initial idea that the dancer Melissa Mattiussi used to take a path that goes apart from fees and classifications of gender ...

And so what began as a Gypsy Fusion Dance becomes Natural Dance that Melissa gives to Mother Earth, seeking to restore the natural balance that resides in each individual. Light and dark, joy and pain, alternating frenzy and meditation as the sun and rain in the dance of the elements and archetypes.

Melissa dance is deep awareness of her center and heart, even as life changing, expression of the unlimited love of nature in all its forms, human, animal, plant. Hope we can come back to dance together in harmony in the embrace of creation.
